SPORTS MEDICINE I


The Sports Medicine I course is designed to provide a well-rounded and challenging academic experience for students interested in the Sports Medicine Field including athletic training, physical therapy, exercise science, medicine, nursing, or any other allied health or paramedical profession.  In this year-long course, students will learn and understand how to examine the different areas of the body through application of anatomical, physiological, kinesiological, and biomechanical concepts learned in class.  This class is classified as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) class and fulfills the Arts and Humanities graduation requirement.  Upon successful completion, students will earn 1.0 elective credit. 

*Students accepted into this Academy must meet specific requirements including, but not limited to, academic and behavior both in and out of school.  Students may be removed from the Academy due to academic or behavioral issues and not move on to the Sports Medicine Classes.
