I am excited to be the Principles of Health Science and Medical Terminology teacher here at Spanish Springs High School. I bring a fun and hands-on approach to teaching that engages students in interactive lessons. I have been teaching in Washoe County School District for seven years. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Masters of Education degree in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University. I hold a Nevada Teaching license in Health, Computer Science, Middle School Math. Along with my education licensure, I am also an American Heart BLS (CPR) Instructor and a member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. I am the co-advisor for our HOSA organization which allows Sports Medicine Academy students several opportunities throughout the school year to participate in a variety of community service projects.
