CAREER AND
TECHNICAL EDUCATION

Career and Technical Education (CTE) is about helping students of all ages fulfill their working potential. First and foremost it's about high school and college education that provides students with:
1. Academic subject matter taught with relevance to the real world; often called contextual learning.
2. Employability skills ranging from job-related skills to workplace ethics.
3. Education pathways that help students explore interests and careers in the process of progressing through school.
Students will receive a CTE endorsement on their diploma upon successful completion of the Sports Medicine CTE 3 year pathway. Student must:
1. Earn a B average in Health Science, Sports Medicine I, and Sports Medicine II(Honors)
2. Pass the Nevada Employability Skills and Workplace Readiness exam
3. Pass the Nevada State Sports Medicine content exam
